By creating an account or using Mouriq, members agree to use the platform responsibly, provide truthful information, respect other users, follow safety rules, and accept that Mouriq may moderate, restrict, or remove accounts that harm members, the community, or the service.
Eligibility
- Users must be legally able to use a dating service in their location and must meet the required minimum age.
- Users must not be prohibited from using the service by applicable law, prior suspension, or safety restriction.
- Mouriq may restrict access where legal, payment, safety, verification, or operational conditions are not satisfied.
Accounts and security
- Members are responsible for keeping login credentials secure.
- Members must provide accurate account, profile, and contact information.
- Members must not create fake accounts, impersonate another person, evade enforcement, or sell account access.
- Mouriq may use verification, profile review, safety checks, and automated or manual moderation to protect the service.
User conduct
Mouriq prohibits conduct that undermines safety, dignity, consent, or trust.
- No harassment, threats, hate, coercion, sexual pressure, stalking, blackmail, or intimidation.
- No scams, fraud, financial manipulation, gift demands, impersonation, spam, or deceptive profile behaviour.
- No explicit abuse, exploitation, non-consensual content, or attempts to move users into unsafe situations.
- No attempts to bypass blocking, reporting, verification, payment, safety, or moderation systems.
Profiles, photos, messages, and content
- Members remain responsible for the information, photos, messages, and materials they submit.
- Profile content must be truthful, respectful, lawful, and consistent with Mouriq community standards.
- Mouriq may remove, hide, restrict, or review content that appears unsafe, misleading, abusive, unlawful, low-quality, or inconsistent with the service standard.
- Mouriq does not guarantee relationship success, compatibility, marriage, safety, or the accuracy of another member's statements.
Safety, reporting, blocking, and moderation
Mouriq may use reporting, blocking, verification, profile review, permitted message review, photo moderation, authorized human review, and enforcement records to protect members and the platform.
- Reports may lead to warnings, restrictions, content removal, discovery limits, messaging limits, suspension, or account termination.
- Members should report suspicious, abusive, coercive, or unsafe behaviour and use blocking tools when needed.
- Moderation decisions may consider reports, platform signals, prior conduct, available evidence, and authorized human review.
- Severe or repeated violations may be escalated without advance warning.
Mouriq is not an emergency service. When immediate harm is possible, contact local emergency services, local authorities, or a trusted person nearby.
Subscriptions and billing
Mouriq may offer free access, paid subscriptions, paid upgrades, or premium services. Pricing, currency, provider availability, plan benefits, renewal, and eligibility may depend on country, provider readiness, and product availability.
- Paid access does not guarantee matches, compatibility, relationship success, verification, or safety.
- Approved providers such as Paystack or other configured providers may process payments.
- Subscription status may depend on successful checkout, provider confirmation, reconciliation, and account eligibility.
Cancellation, refunds, and failed payments
- Members can review available plan and checkout terms before payment.
- Cancellation and refund rules follow the published plan terms, provider rules, and applicable law.
- Failed, reversed, disputed, or suspicious payments may lead to restricted access while the issue is reviewed.
- Refund eligibility may be limited where services have been used, abuse is detected, or a provider has completed final settlement.
Account termination and restrictions
Mouriq may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account for safety, legal compliance, payment integrity, fraud prevention, community protection, or repeated violation of these Terms.
Platform role and liability limits
Mouriq provides relationship-discovery tools, profile and compatibility signals, safety controls, and moderation workflows. Mouriq cannot guarantee that another member is truthful, compatible, safe, available, legally eligible, or suitable for a relationship.
Members remain responsible for their choices, communications, meetings, transport, boundaries, financial decisions, and offline safety.
Disputes and governing terms
The law and forum applicable to a dispute depend on the member's location, the Mouriq entity providing the service, and mandatory consumer-protection rules. Members should first contact Mouriq support so the issue can be reviewed. An unresolved dispute may be brought before a court or other forum with lawful jurisdiction, and non-waivable rights continue to apply.
